A boutique art consultancy based in New York

Mission & Vision
Its purpose is built around three pillars: strategic consulting for contemporary artists, independent curatorial projects, and cultural experiences designed to connect people with art in meaningful and transformative ways.
Founded by Cristina Iborra, an art consultant with nearly twenty years of experience in the financial and innovation sectors, IBORA bridges the professional and artistic worlds, fostering connections between artists, collectors, institutions, and individuals who seek not only to see art but to truly experience it.
Guided by a belief in art as a catalyst for dialogue and transformation, IBORA combines strategic insight with artistic sensibility to elevate creative and cultural projects and to design experiences that make art a living space for connection, reflection, and shared discovery.
01. Consulting
Strategic Consulting for Contemporary Artists
At IBORA, we support emerging and mid-career artists in the process of professionalizing their practice and strengthening their international presence.
We combine strategic insight with artistic sensibility to help you define your identity, structure your goals, and navigate the contemporary art ecosystem with clarity and confidence.
Every consulting process is tailored to the artist’s needs, offering personalized guidance in key areas such as:
Career and artistic positioning diagnosis
Analysis of trajectory, conceptual coherence, and opportunities for growth.
Strategic career planning
Definition of objectives, development of a clear roadmap, and support in decision-making.
Consulting for art fairs, residencies, awards, and open calls
Identification of opportunities and preparation of application materials.
Support with grants and funding applications
Guidance in proposal writing and required documentation.
Portfolio, dossier, professional presentation, and visa preparation
Comprehensive review and adaptation to institutional or geographic contexts.
Visibility strategies and networking
Design of actions to strengthen your presence and connect with cultural agents.
More than a consulting service, IBORA offers a space for dialogue, reflection, and growth — a place where artists can build a career that is solid, coherent, and sustainable.
02. Curation
Curatorial projects
At IBORA, we develop independent curatorial projects that explore contemporary art as a space for dialogue, reflection, and connection between artists, contexts, and audiences.
Each proposal is created with a transversal, sensitive, and strategic approach that brings together research, narrative, and aesthetic experience.
We collaborate with artists, galleries, institutions, and cultural spaces to design and produce exhibitions, public programs, and site-specific projects, always aiming to create meaningful, coherent, and internationally relevant experiences.
Our services include:

Curating exhibitions and artistic projects
Concept development, artist selection, and support throughout all stages of production.

Artistic direction and project conceptualization
Design of curatorial frameworks, critical texts, and exhibition narratives.

Curatorial coordination and production
Planning, budgeting, and coordination among teams and venues.

Curatorial consulting for galleries, institutions, and private collections
Guidance on content development, artwork selection, and experience design.

Development of transdisciplinary projects
Collaborations connecting art, thought, performance, community, and new visual narratives.
At IBORA, we understand curating as a living process that connects ideas, emotions, and people, creating experiences that expand the ways in which art is perceived, shared, and remembered.
03. Experiences
Cultural experiences
At IBORA, we design tailor-made cultural experiences for private, corporate, and institutional audiences who wish to engage with art from a more intimate and more meaningful perspective.
Each program is created as a space for learning, dialogue, and discovery, adapted to the interests and goals of each participant or group.
